Reaction: Generally the first two days after an insect bite the skin can have a local reaction of redness, raised area, and tenderness. Apply 1% hydrocortisone twice a day. If the pain is severe or redness is rapidly swelling consult an MD. Staph skin infections are always a risk to any skin irritation. Clean daily with mild soap/water.
