Possibly: The most important thing is that the doctor who prescribed the Provera (medroxyprogesterone) knows that this patient has a history of superficial clots. A person with that history is at risk of more dangerous clots that can be life-threatening. That is not to say that the patient absolutely cannot take Provera (medroxyprogesterone). But the doctor has to carefully weigh the risks and benefits and needs to be aware of that health history.
