Unnatural cycle...: induced by Provera (medroxyprogesterone) withdrawal can be unpredictable. If a perimenopausal patient goes many months between periods, the lining could have been very thick over that time and the period longer and heavier. Also around menopause, the estrogens needed to rebuild a new lining to seal off the old can be reduced. If you are concerned and the bleeding is not slacking off, see your GYN.
