Possibly: Herpetic ulcers are usually very painful. Syphilitic lesions are usually painless, but so are some benign lesions. Your sexual history and high risk behavior would help determine likelihood that lesion was due to a STI. I recommend seeing cliniician or going to an STD Clinic, which most county health departments have. Get evaluated, tested, and treated if indicated. Take care!

Possibly: This could be a herpes lesion, and if you're not sure of sexual partner's health history, other std is also possible. Since treatment is available, you should get examined by a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
