Mirena (levonorgestrel): Mirena (levonorgestrel) is only effective 5yrs (http://www.mirena-us.com/frequently-asked-questions/) so if you're 6mo out, then your belly pain may be due to pregnancy. I don't know about UK but here in States, home pregnancy tests are available w/o prescription (and highly accurate once menses late). Mirena (levonorgestrel) migration is another concern. So go see your GP regardless of HPT result. Or maybe as simple as UTI.

See your OBGYN: It’d be a good idea to make an appointment to see your doctor. While there is debate, some experts recommend removing Mirena (levonorgestrel) after 5 years. Having it longer doesn’t necessarily raise the risk of side effects, but abdominal pain might be a sign of other side effects - possibly related to your IUD or not. You’ll need the help of a healthcare professional to best make the diagnosis.
