A member asked:

My 6 yr old had a cbc, results: wbc 8.2, neutrophils 49.5, lymphocytes 35.7, monocytes 9.9, eosinophils 4.6. he seems well, he just had some slight dizziness. is this within normal limits?

Almost normal: There is increse on lymphocytes which can be sometime due to vial infection and it does not require any treatment and follow up unless he has any symptoms and complaints.

Yes: For an adult the neutrophil numbers might be a little low and the lymphocyte numbers a little high, but for a 6 year old this is within expected parameters. If he is well, don't worry about it; but if because of his dizziness he saw a physician, ask the physician if there is anything in that blood count that troubles him/her with relation to the symptoms. It seems unlikely.
