A member asked:

What is the cause of childhood tics? is there anything i can do to help my child's tic go away faster?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually temporary: Transient tic disorder is not uncommon in children and often fades as they age. Medically treatment is usually not needed unless tics are extreme and socially uncomfortable. Try not to call attention to the tics. Sleep deprivation, stress, anxiety can aggravate them. Talk with your MD to make sure this is the case. Brain still going thru growth changes and as it matures many of these will fade.
