HPV could reactivate: Cancer chemotherapy could result in reactivation of a previously silent HPV infection. However, usually this isn't serious. Probably you'll just need to be on the alert for warts (mostly genital, sometimes oral) and have them treated, and have regular pap smears to pick up pre-cancerous changes before they become dangerous. Discuss it with the patient's cancer doctor. Good luck!
