Entyvio Vs. Mesalamine : Entyvio and mesalamine are different types of medications. They can be used separately or together. The goal of Biologics such as Entyvio is to induce remission, while mesalamine derivatives reduce inflammation but do not induce remission. They have different side effect profiles, and either can be a valid approach in various patient circumstances. Talk to your gastroenterologist. Good luck.
