A member asked:

I had brownish colour spotting for a day and a half then it just stopped, i'm not sure what's happening but i'm on the pill?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several reasons . .: Brownish spotting may simply be related to blood having been in the vagina for more than a day. BCP's can cause irregular spotting, even if you remember to take them every day. But please, do a home pregnancy test. If spotting persists, you might want to contact your Dr. for an evaluation, or possibly switch to a different BCP.
