Not necessarily...: Clearly, you should take a break from your training if you are running a fever, having shaking chills, or can't breathe well enough to sustain your activity! but if your symptoms are mild and you feel well enough to exercise, i think it's okay to go ahead. Stay well-hydrated, and be conscientious about not infecting others (consideration, and good hand washing!) lgromkomd.

Depends: Depends on you. Assess the situation and your health right now. If you ask the question " what will most benefit my body/health right now" you should have your answer. Best not to worsen the situation by going for a run which in the long run would be insignificant. You should build in rest periods for maximum results, anyway. I do both -- sometimes go for the run and feel better, sometimes crash.

Not recommended: Ease up on exercise if you have a cold. Consider reducing the intensity and length of your workout. The bottom line, let your body be your guide.
