Red handed: Hi RuthR, really too many possibilities to list. Exposure, allergies, drugs, autoimmune disease,etc. you should see your doctor. In the meantime, avoid gloves (especially latex), keep them clean, dry, and moisturized with a cream or lotion without fragrance or additives. And if at all possible, avoid the urge to scratch it.
