Rash: If pretty painful to touch and more blister like than more likely herpes or maybe even shingles. allergy rash should respond a bit to an over the counter antihistamine and early on won't come to a head like acne.

Many possibilities..: I would have the rash looked at by a doctor. It could represent a bacterial infection, shingles, eczema, or several other different conditions with very different treatments. Good luck!
