Hi, i've had consistent green stool for awhile now and now i'm noticing dark spots in them. should i be concerned?

Dark spots: The dark spots could be a sign of blood in the stool. I would recommend that you have your stools checked for blood. The green color is coming from the diet.

See your PCP: If you have green stool, are you taking any over the counter Iron medications. If not , do you feel the smell of stool is bad and peculiar than usual. Are you exposed to any people who are sick , who may have infections like c.difficile colitis ,an intestinal infection by bacteria with a toxin producing capacity. Need your stool tested for ova and parasite, stool culture, any blood,c.diff toxin.
