Give it more time: Congratulations on stopping smoking. You won't regret it. Depending on how long you smoked, even at age 20 you might have already suffered a certain amount of damage to your bronchial tubes and lungs, although probably not to a dangerous degree. It can take a year or more for symptoms of chronic bronchitis from smoking to clear up. Hang in there; it should continue to improve gradually.
