21 to 35 days: The number of days from one period to the next one, or the length of your menstrual cycle depends on how often your ovulation occurs. Ovulation is release of the egg from your ovary. Some women ovulate every 21 days, some every 28 days and some every 35 days. If you ovulate less frequently than every 35 days then it is not technically normal, but no harm will come from it
