Stage 4 lung ca: Sure, there is a chance. Eat right, try to go out for a walk every day. Enjoy each day! after medicine fails, we always have prayer.

Hope: There can be hope until the very end. The following is link to five year survival rate. Read the third paragraph: http://goo.Gl/2cdq9 the goals of clinical trials are to identify better treatments and increase survival. Being in a trial is a positive thing. Would recommend doing the best you can and try to keep positive, get support from your multi-disciplinary thoracic oncology program.
