Uterine lining: The thickness of the endometrium varies throughout the menstrual cycle. It is thickest a week after ovulation (week before menses), and thinnest after a period. It grows under the influence of hormones secreted by the ovary during the normal cycle. One always has the chance to ovulate with PCOS, and there is no way to predict whether you will in a given cycle.
