Stooling: Difficulty stooling often occurs in babies. Often giving 2-4 oz of 1/2 strength apple juice fail will help. If once he passes his stools they appear normal in size and soft this is not constipation . Rarely babies have problems with the nerve supply to their bowel but there is usually a history of no stooling after birth and then other symptoms. Make a slow transition to regular milk.
