Not sure of question: Periods lasting a week are not unusual is that what you were asking?

Normal: I am assuming that our bleeding lasts one week. This can be normal. Over time, your periods may shorten in duration. If they do not, you can try birth control pills to shorten them. I would not recommend that for a few years.
