A member asked:

I take seroquel (quetiapine) quetiapine 100 mg before i sleep. i eat healthy, heavy resistance training, and do cardio. am i at risk of diabetes or metabolic syndr?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Few considerations:: 100mg is a small dose and less likely to cause DM/metabolic syndrome. But it can- the good news is they is easily measurable, by tracking your BP, blood sugar, hemoglobin A1C (a simple blood test) you can see if you're becoming at risk. A bigger issue is you shouldn't need seroquel (quetiapine) to sleep every single night. Consult your doctor, you likely have some bad habits.
