Not recommended: I would avoid regularly mixing ibuprofen (or any other NSAID--ie naproxen or aspirin) with products containing prednisone. These drugs can act synergistically and increase the risk of adverse effects, such as GI bleeding.

Take care if over 75: Ibuprofen and prednisone taken together can cause gut irritation or pain and possibly stomach or intestinal bleeding, especially over age 75. Especially if you are over 75, run taking ibuprofen by the doctor who prescribed magic mouthwash - the bleeding risk is a concern. Otherwise, take the ibuprofen with food, take the medications at different times of the day, and don't use together long-term.
