Is there any harm in taking yeast infection medicine if you're not sure if you have one?

No harm, but...: Yeast medication won't make other problems worse, but there could be risk of complications if you have something else and treatment is delayed. Most important, at your age (18) an STD is likely if sexually active with vaginal discharge. The main yeast symptom is itching/irritation, with little or no discharge. If this doesn't fit, don't use the yeast treatment and see a doctor or clinic ASAP.
