Tough to say: without being able to see the lesion! Consider scheduling a virtual consult. Possible causes of the above symptoms are an infection or hypersensitivity reaction. The fact that you are feeling fine otherwise is encouraging.

Dr. Katherine Brown answered

Swimmer's Itch: There are many causes of skin rashes following swimming. Treatment depends on the cause. Swimmer's itch is a parasitic infection from exposure to contaminated freshwater & is treated with praziquantel. Seabather's eruption is a reaction to tiny jellyfish larvae in saltwater & is treated symptomatically. Reactions to irritants or allergens in water are other causes. Consult a dermatologist.

I have swollen and itchy eyelids. Will this go away by itself? Should I go to the doctor to get it checked out?

Dr. Elizabeth Holland answered
Specializes in Ophthalmology
Yes: I would go to the doctor to get it checked. It may be something simple like allergy, or it could be something more serious like blepharitis, which could have effects on the cornea and your vision.

Sweating, yeast: Excessive sweating with bacterial colonization will cause itching in odor. This is more common f you are overweight or diabetic. An antibacterial soap will help. A diaper cream used thinly will absorb sweat and decrease friction.
