Pregnancy bleeding: It is not uncommon for there to be light spotting early in pregnancy. Up to 25% of women will have some bleeding in the first trimester due to the lining of the uterus being pushed out of the way as the pregnancy nests into the lining. It is usually limited to a few days. See your physician when you are 6-10 weeks pregnant to check for a heartbeat on ultrasound.
