Can anyone suggest any advice how to handle flea bites? we have a few recently and they have only bit my wife. she says it's painful and itches bad

Flea bites: For the discomfort of the bites, I would apply an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream twice a day. If the bites become increasingly painful or form pus, she should see a doctor to rule out a secondary bacterial infection of the bites. You should also wash all bedding/towels in hot water or dry in a hot dryer to kill any residual fleas. If you have pets, get them checked at the vet for fleas.
