Throat pain: Hello, if you have significant sore throat -especially if there is swelling of tonsils or lymph nodes in neck - then it would be important to obtain a streph throat test. Without evaluation, can't tell you if it is streph or not. Consider tylenol (acetaminophen) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications. Saltwater gargles: mix 1 tsp salt in 8 oz warm water – gargle several times a day. Hydrate well.
