Oral treatment: You have tried creams - consider talking to your MD about oral medication. Acne is triggered by hormones - some women respond to Spironolactone to help. If it flares during your periods try motrin three times a day two days before your cycle to reduce the flare up. Also ask your doctor about Minocycline - a low dose antibiotic for acne. If the acne is scarring badly consult a DERMATOLOGIST

Come up with plan: Unfortunately for some, acne is not just a transitional problem of the teen years. Some will face recurrent issues until their 40's. Work out a plan with your doc or a dermatologist and plan to keep it in effect for as long as needed. If your skin is one of the persistent group, there is no simple cure that will stop it.
