Generally no: Babies are well protected inside the uterus. Abdominal trauma such as car accidents, major falls, domestic violence and other incidents can cause injury. Routine movements are not known to cause problems. If it concerns you though to lay on your stomach then avoid it. Most people can not lay on their stomach anyway when the baby gets big because it is usually not comfortable.

No: later in pregnancy you won't be able to because of the large baby bump. Your baby is well protected and it sounds like people without any real knowledge have been scaring you. when you sleep you are unaware of what you body does position wise. You're fine with what you are doing.
