Our body's filters: Lymph nodes act as our "filters" to help fight infection. They swell and become tender when there is an infection nearby.Watch for any signs of inflammation or infection in your gums or teeth, symptoms of a sore throat or viral infection,or any major "pimples" that have become more inflamed.Usually, lymph nodes get better once infection gone but take a while to shrink. If not, get it checked.
