Where: Avn refers to avascular necrosis, typically occurring in bone where the vascular supply has been compromised. I'm not sure what the question is, but treatment varies. Avn of the hip, for example, could be treated with hip replacement surgery, however in someone young other options may be considered instead. Speak to an orthopedist.
