A member asked:

Can any types of myopathies affect the liver? if so, which types and how is the liver affected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not that I am aware: Myopathies are disorders of muscle tissues or muscles. I am not aware of a myopathy that will affect the liver specifically. Myopathy may mean that the patient is taking drugs for pain relief that will affect the liver and one must not forget alcohol that if taken at the same time in excess for pain relief will affect the liver.
