Air: If your abdomen lies over your c-section incision, the area can't get air and stays warm and moist leading to the growth of skin bacteria. It may not cause an infection in the scar because the skin has healed enough that they don't get in but the anaerobic bacteria that grow in places that are warm, moist and low on oxygen tend to stink.
