A member asked:

My eye sight is -1.5 is it equal to 6/36?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not linear: the relationship between dioptric power ( e.g. - 1.50) and the Snellen acuity is not linear so there is not an exact equivalence between the one scale and the other. So 6/36 is about 20/120 but there is considerable variance possible.
