Yes: How high is your TSH. If it is about 5 or higher your thyroid gland is under-active and you need supplemental thyroid medication. Under-active thyroid is known cause of menstrual irregularities. An other issue you need to keep in mind is impending menopause.

Maybe. Thyroid: function can affect many things including the menstrual cycle. An elevated TSH most likely indicates a failing thyroid gland. Less likely, a high TSH could be a pituitary problem that could make your thyroid levels too high. In that case, there could also be other pituitary problems affecting menstruation.
