A member asked:

I hav been having a minty/hitoshi feeling at the back of my throat for about a week. i had my gall bladder out two years ago, could this be related?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gall bladder surgery: can result in trouble digesting fats and occasionally can (we think) worsen the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. Poor digestion of fats may increase the likelihood of reflux which could cause irritation of the throat. Honestly, however, the connection is tenuous at best. I don't know what you mean by a Hitoshi feeling.
