Vaginal yeast Rx: Many over the counter treatments are effective against vaginal yeast. Look for active ingredient ending in "azole" (miconazole, clotrimazole, terconazole, etc), or ask the pharmacist for advice. But do not self treat unless you have had yeast before and now have identical symptoms; even then, it's best to discuss with your doctor. STDs can cause the same symptoms, maybe need testing.
