OTC Creams: Over the counter antifungal vaginal creams containing Miconazole or Clotrimazole are effective means of treating the usual vaginal yest infection. Oral medications are no more effective for this problem and are best used for systemic infection. Vaginal creams are less convenient, messier, but do not have the rare risk of liver failure found in the oral medication. 7 day use is most effective.
