The only one: The only one who will know is your Dentist. Cap may look and feel fine, but if there is leakage the underlying natural tooth can decay. Make it a priority to have your Dentist see you and advise you based on the examination findings.

Possibly: That depends on what your dentist capped the tooth with. If they used porcelain fused to metal then it sounds like some of the porcelain chipped off and you should be fine if it doesn't bother you; just look for a dark gray color where it chipped. If they used an all ceramic or composite material then you may want to have them look at it to make sure it won't be a problem down the road.

Needs evaluation: Porcelain cap chip, and usually it doesn't require additional care other than smoothing down the rough edge. Sometimes, however, the porcelain chips because the tooth structure underneath has been compromised. That's why you need to have your dentist take a look.

Clinical examination: If the tooth is in an aesthetic area, the answer is yes long term. There are some modalities that may work, such as a bonded laminate over the crown if it is done correctly.
