Manufacturer profits: Dietary supplement manufacturers are not required to prove their miraculous claims, much less the safety of their products. All they have to do is promise you the world so that they can take your money. There aren't any peer reviewed published randomized controlled trials demonstrating benefit in large populations. Stick to real food, healthy food. Don't forget regular exercise.
