Interesting: No, it's not a cleat pointer to future abuse. On the other hand, have you made it clear to him that his yelling when he's upset is difficult for you, and that you urge him to talk about being upset without yelling? If he is disregarding this from you, then it's not a good sign. Otherwise, you need to make this clear.
