A member asked:

Is it possible for there to be a haze in vision or lack of crispness in beginning stage of glaucoma?

Probably not: Early stages of glaucoma are usually not symptomatic, and the visual changes involve the peripheral vision, usually in very subtle ways. Hazy vision is more consistent with cataract, and lack of crispness could be cataract or even just a simple change in glasses prescription. Extremely high pressure (rare) can cause very blurred vision, pain, and seeing rainbows around sources of light.

Not likely: Early glaucoma rarely involves the central vision , affecting visual acuity. You are more likely to have another reason for blurred vision. An ophthalmologic exam will be able to determine if you have a need for glasses, or have a medical eye condition causing your blurred vision.
