Get a urinalysis : It would be nice to know your symptoms in more detail. Pyelonephritis is associated with flank (back) pain, urinary frequency/urgency/pain, and possible fever. If your symptoms are similar to these, get a urinalysis. If your period has begun, do your very best to give a good clean catch of urine. Best of luck!
