1 in 50 people: Most develop after age of 40 years. Anyone can have a brain aneurism and it is usually asymptomatic unless it grows or ruptures. This is more likely to occur in adults and in adult women. Risk factors include hypertension, smoking, alcohol and drug abuse (cocaine).
