Is it normal for resting heart rate to increase after giving blood? from around 65-70 to 80-85 sitting on couch 2 days after giving blood.

Yes: With blood donation you lose a significant amount of volume as well. It takes 120 days to replace the blood cells and at least a few days to replace the volume. A minor increase in heart rate is not unexpected.
