I understand finishing a colon prep. but why is it always at night? can't it be finished the day before?

Colon preps: congratulations on finishing your prep, despite how difficult it is! There are preps which do not last into the night, including some that are split between the day before the procedure and the morning of the procedure. If your preparation is extremely difficult, ask your gastroenterologist if there are alternative schedules or preparations available. Good luck.
