Please see PCP: her PCP should evaluate her for occult blood in the stool and check for white blood cells as well, possibly a stool for over and parasites. And give you advice about a bland diet and oral rehydration.i Has she traveled outside the country recently?

Prolonged diarrhea: Two weeks is a bit long for the typical viral diarrheal infection. She should see her doc to have stool testing done. She may have a bacterial infection that is giving her diarrhea. In the meantime, I would withhold dairy from her diet (infections make one temporarily lactose intolerant) and give a daily probiotic. Powdered forms such as Florastor, Culturelle that can be mixed in food.
