A member asked:

I've been having these sharp pains in my mid to lower back that come and go it's on the side as and it feels likes it's on the spine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sharp pains: Sharp, shooting pains are often due to pinched nerves which make the fleeting, jabbing discomfort occur with certain motions of the back. This different than the steady discomfort of a back strain or inflammation. Pinched nerves usually resolve without specific treatment except rest, but,if you can take them, nsaids like ibuprofen often help. See your physician if pains persist or worsen.
