Maybe...: The antibiotic should still be effective, but it probably will be a lot more difficult to take than simply swallowing the pills. It would be bitter and bad tasting. If you have trouble taking pills, contact your doctor's office or the pharmacy about getting the liquid form usually prescribed for children. It will be much easier to swallow and assure proper dosing.
