Rinse: Rinse your eyes with clean hands and clean tap water or an eye irrigating solution. Do not rub them! Rubbing often causes scratches, irritation, or infection.

Foreign body in eye: If you have a sensation that there's something in your eye, you can try OTC artificial tears. If you have a constant feeling that something is in your eye, you should definitely have an exam.
